Two Men Denied the Prophet’s Intercession

Hawzah News Agency- Muhammad ibn al-Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from Muhammad ibn Yahya al-Attar who narrated from Muhammad ibn Ahmad, from Muhammad ibn Abd al-Jabbar, by his chain of narrators tracing it back to the Messenger of Allah (pbuh and his family) that he said:

رَجُلَانِ لَا تَنَالُهُمَا شَفَاعَتِی صَاحِبُ سُلْطَانٍ عَسُوفٌ غَشُومٌ وَ غَالٍ فِی الدِّینِ مَارِقٌ.

Two men will not attain my intercession:

1. Companion of an oppressive and unjust ruler, and

2. An extremist in religion who deviates from it.
